In this project, the company designed and manufactured a Fuel Conditioner unit for the diesel engine testing section of Idem factory, aimed at precisely controlling fuel supply conditions during engine performance testing. This device was responsible for providing stable fuel supply with controlled temperature and flow rate to the engines under test.
In this system, fuel temperature and flow control were implemented using PLC in a fully automatic manner to simulate real-world engine operating conditions during testing. Consequently, pressure fluctuations, temperature variations, and process errors were minimized, significantly enhancing the accuracy of test results.
The monitoring and HMI section of this project was considered one of its strengths. Through designing a customized user interface, all operational parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rate, and equipment status were displayed. Additionally, quantity graphs and alarms were designed and implemented in the HMI environment, enabling operators to quickly detect and analyze any changes in process conditions.
Furthermore, safety and protective logic (Interlocks) were incorporated into the control system programming to prevent critical conditions in the fuel supply circuit. All sections were integrated as a reliable and scalable industrial automation system.
The successful implementation of this project demonstrates the capability of Ima Sanat Energy Tabriz Company in designing and implementing customized control systems with advanced monitoring for the localization of industrial testing equipment.
